About

Hi, I'm Lindsay

I’m a nationally certified counselor and a licensed professional mental health counselor. Because of how long I have been practicing, I practice as a Professional Counselor Associate with the State of Oregon and as a Mental Health Counselor Associate with the State of Washington and receive supervision from Elizabeth Trautwein, LPC.

I earned my masters in mental health counseling with a specialization in addictions from Lewis and Clark College and I have my B.A. in psychology from Butler University (Go Dawgs!). I am also a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance.

I truly believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship and my hope is to make therapy a more accessible, less stigmatized practice in everyday life.

In my practice, I help support finding more authenticity in who you are, integrating the different parts of yourself to be able to live in congruence without being trapped by self-criticism, anxiety, doubt, sadness, hopelessness, and overwhelm. Through holistic and integrative practices such as, Rogerian, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy, I will help you create more compassion for yourself, more capacity to feel the hard stuff, and strategies to manage the stressors of our history, environment, and daily life.

I fully believe that being seen, heard, and witnessed nonjudgmentally by another human is one of the most healing experiences we can have. Being that witness for others is a gift that I am grateful for every day.

Aside from being a therapist…

I am also an avid hiker, a hobby photographer, a cat mom, an ice cream lover, a yogi, a believer in small acts of kindness, and a lifelong learner.
